Quite Cute

21 Apr

(Oh shoot me now for being such a girl!)

I’m not one to be totally in to make-up, but this Spring 2011 collection from MAC is dying for my attention. Oh look, they even got  Irina Lazareanu to be their campaign model.

Presenting…MAC’s Quite Cute collection!

“CUTE!” The most fanciful, fun and flattering compliment and young, modern trendsetter could ever want! Our version is the girliest kind of international glam possible, a style ride that combines postage-stamp-sized puppies with pixie swizzle-stick fashion and buttergly kisses for cute boys and even cuter shoes! Cupcake icing colors, vintage romance, an ATM card with Hello Kitty on it – and a way of life that says “yes!” to everything adorable!
Come on, get happy, with the multi-culti cutie, from Tokyo to Toronto to Paris with love! Pastel shades for Eye Quads, Lipstick, Plushglass, and Nail Lacquer…And due to popular demand, we’re completely cute-ifying three favourite Lip Pencil shades from last season that will join the fun and frolic. Flash! You’ll ♥ the Mineralize Blush with the sweet heart baked right into it. If it shines, shimmers and pops it’s completely, contagiously, cute!

What I’m really after here are the lipsticks! Being the connoisseur of anything cute and gay, this tops my list. I cannot forego not having any of these yummy looking pastels. Yes, I’m a huge fan of pastel. FYI: Pastel=Cute…and, I like cute things. I heard that pastels don’t really work for darker toned people, but I beg to differ. I could make this work! lol.

Here are some of my lust-worthy (lol I used that word as an adjective! ahohoho) picks:

note: Basically, I want everything except Saint Germain (pastel pink (amplified, permanent) …not shown here)….

left: Playtime- Intense violet (Cremesheen) (Limited Edition)                                right: Playing Koi- Creamy white peach pink (Satin) (Limited Edition)

left: Quite cute- Bright white lavender (Cremesheen) (Limited Edition)                       right: Candy Yum-yum- Neon pink (Matte) (Limited Edition)

I’m not really a fan of wearing blushes and eye make-up. I usually go for lip colors instead which is why I stack up on random lip shades that range from dark brown to nude. I like the idea of being able to express yourself with lip color. Lip color actually tends to speak much about a girl’s personality…that is, according to some study-I-forgot-where. Point is, I have too much lipstick D:   lol.

First Impressions:

Okay, this collection may not have the best reviews, but I must say that pastels aren’t for everyone. I guess I’m just biased by the fact that these colors are right up my alley. Sure, I may not have an actual review…YET. Just you wait, I’m cutting up some bitches on ebay. I just can’t believe that this isn’t available anywhere else, and I simply cannot wait for it launch here in the Philippines! Yes, I want it that much! Also, did I mention that they have the cutest names? This collection pretty much reminds me of Tokidoki and anime! Sadly, unlike the other collections, this comes in regular packaging D:                                                  Then again, all I’m after are the colors!

Till next time! :3
